It’s all happening and all good news…..
One egg ….for sure and food brought in…..
One Egg ?
It took a friend watching the camera in India to tell us there is one egg …..I will get a picture to confirm later on today…….Thanks Dave good luck with the Tiger sightings…….
Food……
We will get better at this …..food brought to the turret…..click on link below to view video…
Back again…..
Good News……
Today lunchtime our male came in with prey and viewed the new turret while work was going on in the cathedral roof …..first time I have observed him in turret in broad day light……eggs next ???
All seems to be progressing well………!!
Mum and Dad were both in residence today and all seems to be moving forward nicely despite all the building work……the patter of tiny talons could be on the way……..!!
Just before 6pm tonight a peregrine came into the nest making quite a lot of noise. Then there was some scraping of stones on several occasions, he flew up to the castellation when another peregrine could be heard then came back into the nest and moved some more stones. All of this looks very hopeful.
Good News!!!
Anyone who watches the web cam will have noticed it has moved …..or at least the view is different . That is because of all the work going on at the cathedral . It was a big decision and a gamble to move it as being in its original site was probably not going to work . We are a long way from success but on Monday caught by Mark from the RSPB both birds were spotted in the New Nest Site ……Very good news …..we can but hope and watch to see what unfolds…….
2018 Peregrine Season
Hi to you all,
The 2018 peregrine has started! The camera is now turned on but we don’t expect to see much action just yet. We have been warned that there are a few glitches so it may be turned off from time to time – just try again later. Also there is a new microphone which will, hopefully, give us the sounds we want to hear instead of the buzzing we got last year!! Both birds have been seen around in spite of all the scaffolding around the east end of the cathedral.
Here’s to another great season!
