We keep jumping up on top exercising our wings it won’t be long now!
Nearly there!
Looking out!
Still babies?
Our youngsters still want to be fed by their parents but one of them already wants to escape. Number 63 (one of the girls) has been seen in the cutout of the turret. She was spotted from the ground!!
A week to go!!
A week to ten days should see us in the air….We are doing a lot of preening to get rid of the fluff and get our feathers in top condition for the moment we fly.
Three?
There are three in this picture can you see the third one??
Getting bigger now and have lost a lot of fluff. Just over a week before we can expect them to fledge.
Good sightings at the Cathedral!
The peregrines are on fine form at Chichester giving very good views at the moment. It will only get better towards the end of the month when the youngsters take to the skies.
Dad’s Snack !!
Dad comes in with a small snack, the chicks are now four weeks old and nearly as big as their dad.
We keep going Walk-about!!
If you can’t see us we are exploring please don’t worry as we are quite safe its very difficult to fall out of the tower unless we want to fly.Its about two weeks until we fly, the picture below could be all you see of us unless we are tired and go back in the box for a sleep.
My! Haven’t we grown!
Our three youngsters are growing fast. You can easily see their feathers growing on wings and tail. Yesterday they went walkabout outside the nest so do not worry if you cannot see them – the camera does not cover all of the floor area of the turret.
Don’t forget to look at the new gallery of pictures taken as the chicks were being ringed.
Chicks ringed
In case you are all worried about the camera being off, it is because the chicks have been ringed this evening. We have 2 girls 63, 65 and a boy 62. (Ring 64 broke as it was being put on the bird)
Picture of Graham with one of the girls.
