Mum does not leave him in charge for very long . He did do a very safe and careful job ….but don’t leave him in chage for too long!

First Chick
The first chick is finally here below is an image …..not the best I’m afraid .However the Chick can clearly be heard on the webcam. Well done !

At 9.16 a changeover allowed a glimpse of the eggs – no chicks yet!

Still 4 eggs
After a great deal of agitation and noise Mum got off the eggs and left the nest at 2.30 this afternoon. She returned a few minutes later and settled to brood again.

Expectant in the sun!
It’s turned in to a beautiful sunny day and if all goes to plan we will in the next couple of days see our first chick.
