After a great deal of agitation and noise Mum got off the eggs and left the nest at 2.30 this afternoon. She returned a few minutes later and settled to brood again.

It’s turned in to a beautiful sunny day and if all goes to plan we will in the next couple of days see our first chick.

We are very figity this morning and no wonder it is nearly time for the first egg to hatch!

The RSPB will open there viewing today in Cloisters Cafe gardens so go along and have a look it’s well worth a visit. You can watch the bird on patrol or watch and see the second sitting on four eggs … Continue reading →

Sorry for the delay in posting but we are still away with very dodgy Internet connection . However there are four eggs now the fourth egg was laid sometime yesterday afternoon.

It’s 5.55 AM and we have thee eggs!

Still only two eggs but very alert and keeping lookout!
