There will be a new Website for 2019 for www.chichesterperegrines .co.uk at the moment the site is under reconstruction. Both birds have been seen on the spire in the last few days. Exciting time ahead for the new season……
There is now a resident female back on the Cathedral I will do my best to profile photos to work out if it’s our old female back or a different bird. Oh it would be so easy if she had a ring ……but what great news to have a female back……pictures from yesterday ……
On 6th November Male Green 34 and an unringed female were seen together on the Cathedral by Graham. She was looking into the nest turret and he was close by. Is this the start of another beautiful friendship?? We will keep you posted.
Green 34 is still very much in charge ……on a beautiful autumnal evening he was sitting quietly surveying his domain……looking very perky…..after enjoying a good meal…..!!
The new male 34 green has now been in residence for 3 weeks …..no sign of anyone else…..
Number 34 green is now completely in charge of his Cathedral strong hold now in residence for 16 days and showing his authority at every opportunity. No sign of the female or the male …..so Mum and Dad are not around……A very different year with so much drama…..we have to hope that Mum and Dad carry on feeding the juveniles away from the Cathedral….because the normal training around the Cathedral is not happening ….yesterday the resident male attacked one of the juveniles as it came in …..poor pictures below due to the extreme distance away.If anyone spots any of the juveniles away from the cathedral and can see a number to identify it please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with details .The numbers you are looking for are black rings 93,94,95…….Thank you for your help…..The juveniles have a chance if the parents are still feeding them but obviously this is not an ideal situation…..we will keep you informed if there are any further developments that we hear about.Pictures below….and thank you once again!!
Last night number 93 was around but keeping his head down ……as the new male was very much showing his authority ……
By the end of the evening we had seen two of the juveniles but it is a very unusual situation……we will just have to wait and see how it pans out……we will keep you informed of any further developments…..
We have one juvenile back here being fed by Mum so I am sure the others are not far away…..
The male Intruder green 34 is still here and has been for a week …..it will be interesting to see what finally transpires as of this moment we are not quite sure but very surprised he has stayed for so long and he is growing in confidence by the day…..we will update when we have more news on the rest of the family …..
