Here is Mum having a snack while her 2 chicks cuddle up together.
All of a sudden she is clearly not happy about something and quickly goes on the defensive before sitting on her brood to protect them.

Dad just came to look at the kids but was quickly sent packing as he didn’t bring any food.

Well looks like I was right. I have just had confirmation of our first chick!!
Our Mum (I think) is very hot and uncomfortable on the eggs this morning. She is panting in the heat. She is also very fidgety so maybe something is happening underneath her or maybe it is just because she is hot!!
There are some ongoing problems with the camera – the sound has disappeared because it became very distorted and the picture at the moment is not in colour. But at least we can watch what is happening!

All is well at the Cathedral as we wait for the eggs to hatch hopefully early next week.
Lazy sunny afternoon
After The last couple of days of wind and rain making our pair look very forlorn and bedraggled today is just windy at the moment so I’m sure they are pleased.
Here is a pic of Dad bringing an 11 o’clock snack into Mum this morning – Elevenses!! By the amount of noise she made she must have been ‘starving’. Dad is now trying his best to sit on 4 eggs. It won’t be long now before he has to juggle eggs and chicks – the first one should hatch in just over a week! Watch this space!!
