RIP 80…,……..Fly high little girl………!!!
Tender moment……
RIP our Girl 80……
To begin with I was lost for words…..A very sad day….I was not sure what to write at all…..number 80 was put to sleep due to a serious problem with her feathers……if you want to know more go to the RSPB Chichester Peregrines page on Facebook…..for me it’s a shocking decision and I hope I never have to write anything like this again…..!!!
Always something new……
Feathers from above …..A juvenile was feeding high above and the feathers cascaded down 10 seconds of excitement in what was a relatively quite evening……as Mum arrives back at the Cathedral to take up a regular perch…….
Great flying this evening……
Five Peregrines tonight…….
There were five Peregrines on the cathedral this evening one juvenile eating …….hopefully number 80 will be back soon then we will have all six……..
Update on number 80…….
Thank you to Emma at Brent Lodge for the update…..number 80 is quite perky and they are hoping she can return home to the cathedral soon……good news…….!!
Number 80 ……
Number 80 has been in the wars crashed into a nearby garden window and has been taken to a local wildlife hospital we have no more details but will keep you informed of any news ….she will be seen by a vet at the center…..
Favourite spot…….
On a blustery afternoon the juveniles were chilling on the various towers of the cathedral it has always been a favourite spot of the youngsters in previous years as well …….I think with all the wind we have had over the past week they are taking it easy at the moment ….they do not have the stamina of the parents to deal with it yet……it’s never this windy in June……!!
Playing with Dad ……on Fathers Day……!!
Number 80 had to be rescued again ….!!
This afternoon number 80 had to be rescued again this time it was the vergers who came to the rescue with other members of the public.
