Then there were two second chick born this am on the 9th of May…..eventually Maverick was allowed to take a turn at looking after them….always amusing when he takes over …..he is really not quite big enough.

Just after 4pm on the 8th May the first chick hatched…..short version of video events….

Getting close now…my guess was Thursday ….but it may be before looking at all the activity today.

Change over in real time as Maverick takes over…..

Two days before lockdown !!!

It may look very unpleasant for Mrs M at the moment but it’s still a better home than on a cliff face. Do not worry about water levels there are several inches of Pea Shingle so all will be safe.
She has seen much worst than this over the years….such a good mum!!!

Mrs M checks on the neighbours all quiet on the western front……

Taken the last time we were at the Cathedral just before the lockdown this was Mrs M arriving to a position close to where the Ravens were building their nest …..just trying to show who was really in charge…..we now know from a reliable local source at the Cathedral the Ravens are still there and appear to be sitting on eggs as well…..going about their business as quietly and un-intrusively as they can…..good luck to them all……thank goodness for the webcam…..!!
