Very unusual for all to still be around when they fledged nine weeks ago ….I put it down to the weather not quite the summer we had expected…..a lot of wind and rain not great for flying or learning to hunt….but all safe and well …!!

This was a bit special please watch it all preferably in full screen mode….!!!

This was some of the action from last Tuesday evening ….shot in poor light , hand held…..using Canon gear….it did a good job ….watch to the end please….This all happened in less than 3 seconds….That’s how fast you have to be …..!!!

Yesterday all kinds of action took place at the Cathedral……At one point we had a female intruder sitting on the spire who was finally chased away by our resident female …..it made for some great and exciting viewing….!!! Make sure you watch it all the way through to the end…!

Still all going on little debate as to whose food it was earlier this evening….!!

The young are still reliant on the parents for their food. They have now been flying for six weeks but are still being fed by their parents. They chase gulls and pigeons but with little success. Within a matter of weeks now it will all change and they will be able to hunt and feed themselves….we are seeing them less and less but I think they still all roost at the cathedral over night.

I think I dropped my lunch in the school grounds I’ll keep looking….!! One of the boys AH making low passes as he looks for his dropped food parcel…..!!
