AN for ever to be know as (AWOL) spent a Happy peaceful night on the bell tower and is still there….he did have his usual take away delivered by Mum.

So longest Day….ever…. Two days early AN a little boy fledged took the longest flight for a first flight that any of us had ever seen…..landed on the Travel lodge in west street Chichester. Very dodgy place with many wires in his way. It was not going to be easy for him to fly off…..as the hours wore on we phoned world wildlife rescue in Leatherhead……for advice ……I did something I never thought I would do ….ran out and stopped a Fire Engine…the crew from selsey were absolutely brilliant but at the end of the day as he was not trapped the RSPCA would not give permission for a rescue….so reluctantly the Fire Brigade left……Having packed up ready to go home we did one last drive by…..as we stood by the car watching we saw him take off fly well and some 45 minutes later found him safe and sound on the bell tower…..many thanks to the whole team, the Selsey Fire Brigade , and the picture are from me….David Shaw, John Harper with the first flight and Barry Lutman…..Thank you everyone ….what a day…..!!!

So we had a lot of visitors today…..literally from around the world….the furthest traveiied was a family from New Zealand who follow them back home and wanted to see their home ….they were not disappointed awesome views today….right at the end of the day as we loaded the car we were spoilt with a first view of one of the young in the castellations….what a day…..!!!

Open days start tomorrow …Mum is waiting to show you herYoung ones….!!

Soon they will be up on top of the turret and in the casterlations so well worth a look on camera number two…..!

So this is what happened to the camera……Poonami…..!!! very early in the morning. Pray for rain as no one can approach the turret to clean the lens….luckily open days start on Saturday 9th June and they will fledge I think on the 13th June…..well at least one of them so there would not be much time left to watch them . It’s a shame but as they say in the busines S… Happens…..!!

They certainly are very advanced this year and camera number two is very well positioned but was very surprised to see this little guy looking out at his Mum…..!!

Viewing days Start a week today next Saturday 10th June 10am— 4pm on the East Lawns of Chichester Cathedral….look forward to seeing you there…..they are running until the 10th July…..!!

More and more like little dinosaurs…..the personalities begin to really show …..!!
