Dad and AP have been seen around the Cathedral over the last few days no sign of Mum and AL but that is quite normal for this time of year. The boy is still demanding food I wonder how long Dad will put up with that ….it’s time to find your own…..!!!

So AL and AP are doing well as are Mum and Dad all four can still be seen at the Cathedral but the young ones are there less and less now coming in to roost and all four are doing well ….some of the antics of the two juveniles…..!!!

It is with great sadness that I have to tell you that AN died at 6am Tuesday 1st August.  He was found on the ground on Saturday afternoon in West Street.  He appeared to have head injuries.  He was cared for by Ian on the ground who did an amazing job and called us for help.  After some 16 phone calls (everything complicated by Avian Bird Flu) he was taken to Arun Vets who were brilliant!  After checking him over they sent him to Sompting Wildlife Rescue who were outstanding in their care and attention to detail.  He had 5 star care but his injuries were serious and as a result he passed naturally at 6am.
So many people helped along this journey – I would like to thank them all.  At the end of the day it’s Wildlife and accidents do happen – they are wild and need to stay wild and free forever…..!!!

RIP AN – always, to me, he will be AWOL…….!!!

Open days are over but there is still great views of the family at the Cathedral….Open days were a great success running for a month we had somewhere in excess of 6,000 visitors across that time and were able to show and educate so many interested members of the public and meet so many fans of the project……Thank you to all of you….Open days will return in 2024….meanwhile we will do our best to keep you up to date….The live cameras will be turned off very soon now ….but will also return in the spring of 2024….THANK YOU…..!!!

Last week of viewing days what a pleasure it is to share the lives of the Peregrine family with so many people in Chichester and visitors from all around the world….as was proved yesterday the best is still yet to come….!!!
