This one is going to be the first out of that turret I am sure – escaping again!

I think this must be the same chick that tried to escape once before.  A determined little chap!!!

Dad is finding it hard to get all the chicks underneath now they have grown so much, but he tries hard to keep them warm in this very cold and damp May weather.

The chicks are growing and doing well. Both parents are doing a wonderful job.  Yesterday they had a treat – Dad brought in a magpie for them.

Note: the juvenile peregrine  seen flying around the spire yesterday had a green ring but the number was not visible.

In brilliant sunshine we were spoilt by an array of raptors.  5 buzzards one hobby one sparrowhawk and a juvenile peregrine have all been seen around the spire today.  None of them bothered our pair but it was just lovely … Continue reading →
