I visited the cathedral earlier this year for a choir residency and am so pleased I found out about them. I have been watching them from here in Leeds ever since, and they keep me company while I am busy studying for exams! I was disappointed to have missed the eggs hatching, but felt better when I realised how early in the morning it happened!

There could of been a close bird, such as a gull or buzzard, or it could be the fact the male might of had some food for the chicks. Its nothing to worry about. The chicks were alone, but there was a lot of noise from one of the parents (I assume)
Does anyone know what was happening please?
I was really worried about the chicks as well as the parents. Made me realise how life is always ‘in the balance’ for most wildlife.
